is responsible for vetting all strategic decisions and investment opportunities of the company. He offers over 6 years of strong leadership experience spanning several sectors including commercial investment, Immigration and education. Mr Mohasin is the Owner & Chairman of GM-Global Sourcing, Chairman of Mother & Child Care Organization (Non-Profit Organization) and GM-Garments & Textiles. He is also the Chairman & Managing Director of Global Visa Consultant and Managing Partner of Skylark Tours & Travels . Mr Mohasin holds a Bachelors Degree from UCSI University and a Masters Degree from Dhaka University.
Mr. MD Moshiur Rahman, Managing Director
is responsible for all executive decisions of the company. Over the last 13 years, Mr. Moshiour Rahman has spearheaded several sales and marketing initiatives to substantially grow the business with GM’s key accounts. Under his tenure, the Group’s annual turnover clocked a consistent 30% on average year-to-year growth during the last few years. Mr. Moshiour Rahman is also the Director of United Commercial Bank, National Finance Ltd. and Vanguard Asset Management Ltd. Mr. Zahir graduated from University of Texas at Austin, USA with a degree in Finance and Economics.
Mr. Shimran Kader, Director
joined GM-Group as a Director in August 2017 and has been responsible for setting up strategic partnerships with investors from USA, EU and China to expand GM-Group Group’s product portfolio towards higher value products. Prior to returning to Bangladesh and joining GM-Group, Shimran kadere spent several years in the USA working as a Product Manager at Google, Inc. Shimran kadere graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Computer Science and is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.
Mr. Jakir Alam, Director
Mr. Alam has ten years of Management Consulting experience in the Financial Services, Insurance, Apparel and Retail sectors. Prior to joining Ananta, Mr. Alam was based out of Deloitte Consulting’s New York headquarters as a Manager where he was responsible for assisting leading Insurance companies, Wall Street Investment banks and Apparel/Retail clients implement multi-year projects including strategy/planning, program/poject management, develop business processes, project implementation and rollout. Mr. Alam also sits on the Board of Directors of Eastern Insurance Co. Ltd. Mr. Alam earned his Bachelors Degrees (with distinction) in Mathematics, Physics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters Degree in Computer and Information Science also from the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Mamon Khan, Nominee Director ( Brummer & Partners, Bangladesh)
Mr. Mamun Khan has over 20 year experience of private equity, entrepreneurship and banking. He co-founded Gonofone, a New York based company, which was the founding partner of GrameenPhone, the largest mobile phone operator in Bangladesh and founded and managed a Bangladesh wireless broadband operator. Prior to that, Mr. Mamun Khan spent 12 years working in private equity and banking in the United States. Mr. Mamun Khan is a graduate of Middlebury College, Vermont and was awarded a fellowship at Stanford University, California in 2003. In 2007, He joined Brummer & Partners as CEO of Brummer & Partners Asset Management (Bangladesh) Ltd. Since then he has overseen Brummer & Partners investments in Bangladesh. Responsibilities have included managing investments since inception of the Frontier Fund in 2008 as well as being an original member of the investment team and one of three members of the investment committee of Frontier PE, which is dedicated to private equity investments in Bangladesh.
Mr Jon , Nominee Director ( Brummer & Partners, Asia)
After graduating from the Stockholm School of Economics in 1996 Anders joined Brummer & Partners as an analyst. From 1998 to 2005 Stendebakken worked for the international investment bank Lazard focusing on mergers and acquisitions, most recently as Vice President within corporate finance. In 2005 Anders moved to Asia where he until 2007 worked for Vickers Financial Group, a private equity firm that invests in China and Southeast Asia, where he also formed a part of the investment committee. In August 2007 Anders Stendebakken once again joined Brummer & Partners as CEO of B&P Asset Management (Asia) Pte Ltd. Since 2007 he has overseen the Brummer & Partners business in Asia, including the launch of the two funds, the Frontier Fund (Bermuda) Ltd. (the “Frontier Fund”) and Frontier PE (Cayman) LP (“Frontier PE”) that invest in Bangladesh. Responsibilities have included managing investments in the capital market in Bangladesh since inception of the Frontier Fund in 2008 as well as being an original member of the investment team and one of three members of the investment committee of Frontier Fund and Frontier PE, which is dedicated to private equity investments in Bangladesh.
